Trained in classical guitar, Mark Douglas Williams has been composing music since the 1980s, initially as a pop song writer and guitarist/vocalist.
Mark’s passion for music has always been closely connected with his creative work in Visual design, Interactive media and Education. With a degree in English and Fine Arts, Mark has taught Visual Arts at secondary school, as well as digital media at TAFE.
From the early days of computer based Multimedia and Web in the 90s, Mark has developed a range of educational resources involving sound and music, video, graphics, animation, coding and user design. These resources include an extensive range of educational websites and statewide online Computer Skills Test applications for the NSW Board of Studies.
Mark has now completed his Masters Degree in Screen Music at AFTRS, having completed the Graduate Certificate there in 2014. Passionate about the expression of feeling in music and film, Mark’s compositions span a diverse range of genres and screen environments.
