GOLDEN HANDCUFFS (2017)
Golden Handcuffs is a short film made by students at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in 2017. The film tells the story of the emotional struggle of a fly-in- fly-out mining worker separated from his family and desperately looking for a way out.
The director was looking for an understated score that didn’t overplay the emotional weight of the film. My aim was to convey the sense of a slow despair that just breaks the surface the unrelenting grind of machinery and the lifelessness of the environment.
