THE ZEITGEIST DANCE (2017)
What defined the global ʻzeitgeistʼ in 2017 was a sense of mass disillusionment, and distrust; a breakdown of ʻcertaintyʼ, and a loss of shared ʻvaluesʼ. With the rise of extremism and conflict, there was no longer an agreed ʻrealityʼ.
With this surge of dystopian feeling, Orwell’s 1984 once again hit the best seller list. Rather than offering a solution, the story told in The Zeitgeist Dance through animation, dialogue and music, brings the ‘global down to the local’ – and then expands it to the universal.
Are we merely dancers in a timeless universal dance?
